 What is Prom Closet Project Tour?

An opportunity to receive a free dress & accessories for Prom in SPRING of 2026.  This program is for High School Seniors and Juniors on a case by case basis. 

We travel to predetermined locations based on what we hear from families on what areas we need to have a spot. We set up at businesses that have already agreed to host us, and we’re there for just 1–2 days at a time. We don’t offer one-on-one visits or special trips for individuals.

We go to businesses/locations which have the possibility for many school districts to be able to get to within a 5-20 mile radius.

An APPOINTMENT IS REQUIRED for our stops so we can make sure we have the correct sizing for you and you will need to send us your current school ID as part of the application process.

We do NOT ACCEPT DAY OF APPOINTMENTS.  The process to get the items ready for the spots takes us 4-5 days to get items out of storage.

The link will go LIVE in the spring with the businesses who are ONLY appointment locations.

The businesses are NOT donation spots and not prepared to take in items. 

We have separate businesses at a different time of year for Donations.  There is a separate page on here which is about Donations specifically.

The collection has a variety of colors, lengths and styles.  If you have something very specific in mind this may not be the program for you as our collection is based on what is donated in. Over the last 10 years we have mainly seen bright colors, pastels and floral patterns.  Darker color dresses have been the style for Homecoming so part of the items we have available for our Dress Into A Dream Homecoming Dress Sale.

What is the Dress into a Dream Homecoming Sale Program?

Fall 2025 spots are DONE!!! See you in the Fall of 2026–watch for locations starting in July!!

It all started with a request from teens who wanted a way to pay it forward to teens older than them.  We had teens from Freshmen to Juniors who didn’t have dresses to donate as they had not been to Prom yet but wanted to help out their fellow students and We also had requests if their was a Homecoming version of Prom Closet.  With both of these requests Dress Into A Dream was created.

Dress Into A Dream is the Fundraiser for Prom Closet Project to help us cover costs to make the Prom Closet Project Tour possible.  This Sale is open to Freshmen thru Seniors.

The dresses are $10 apiece. We have dresses of all sizes & lengths.

All proceeds will be going to replenish items for Prom Closet Project Tour & the costs to be at some locations.

What do I need to do?

An appointment is NEEDED to attend the events and school ID must be sent to our email after submitting application.   There are ABSOLUTELY NO DAY OF APPOINTMENTS–simply because we don’t know your size and don’t bring every size with us—it would take 3 vans and 3 days of set up which these kind businesses can’t allow.
